Report of the first Director Board Meeting

Our first Director Board Meeting and its outcome

My Dear friends,

It was a great occasion for me and my team to see and participate in the Director Board Meeting (BOD) of SUMA as newly elected President of SUMA. All the BOD members were present in the meeting except Dr. Hary Kochatt, Mr. Joy Koothattukulam, Mr. Thomas Poovathoor, Ms. Jai Shaji, and Mr. Mesmin Xavior. The meeting was very fruitful and I have gotten detailed information about the goal, greatness and challenges that SUMA faces. 

As the reflection of the meeting, I like to share some thoughts with the community. Can we list our goals to the next two years? What can we do to foster our coming generations to adhere our traditions? All of you are welcome to comment on this topic. My team’s one sentence mission for next two years is “Increase credibility and credit of SUMA and make it as a public company”. I am not kidding. Yes, we started SUMA from a very humble beginning like a home based business and it has grown to a private limited company now. The next goal is to transform SUMA as a Public Company. Hope you got it!

Last year’s leadership had flashed messages to it by organizing some different and special events under the leadership of Mr. Stephen Mattathil and last year’s committee handed over $ 1,220.02/-. As an initial step and positive gesture the all Executive Committee and BOD members decided to contribute $. 150/- to SUMA fund.

My team will be transparent in all deals and activates of the association and will inform you time to time according to the occurrences. In between if you think it is worth to communicate something, please call or E-Mail anyone of us.

Now we are on our way to organize new agendas for the benefit of the community.

The main decisions we took are:

SUMA is looking for a Joint Secretary and a Public Relations Officer (PRO) for efficient functioning. The next step is to constitute a ten member advisory board to plan, sketch and implement SUMA action plan. Constituting women and youth wing is another step. Friends, on behalf of executive team, I personally request you to come forward and offer your candidature to any of these positions. Thanks to Mrs. Maya Parappuram, Mrs. Celin Mattahil, Dr. Annie Chacko, and Mrs. Valsa Sam for coming forward to take responsibilities on behalf of women’s forum. We need five more, please!

We are decided to make communication smoother. Now SUMA has our own E-mail address, YouTube account, blog, and Facebook Account to communicate. Please join with the tradition. All of our programs would be uploaded in social media.

We are planning verity programs and activities throughout the year. New Year program would be the beginning. Support SUMA!
